For many, the journey to Dr. McHale begins after years of dismissal. As a fellowship-trained minimally invasive gynecologic surgeon exclusively focused on endometriosis, she recognizes that compassionate care must be built on more than just surgical skill; it requires a commitment to education and individualized planning that prioritizes the patient's own narrative of their disease.

A native of Washington, DC, Dr. McHale earned her medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine before completing her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at The Johns Hopkins University Hospital. It was there she developed her focus on advanced surgical interventions for complex gynecologic disease. She further refined this expertise through a two-year fellowship with internationally recognized specialist Dr. Andrea Vidali. During this intensive training, she mastered the use of dynamic ultrasound for pre-operative mapping, a diagnostic framework essential for identifying the full extent of endometriosis before the first incision is made.

In-office evaluations with Dr. McHale go beyond standard pelvic exams, incorporating specialized ultrasound protocols to define the disease's impact on all aspects of a patient's life. She utilizes a multidisciplinary model of care, coordinating with surgical specialists, pelvic floor physical therapists, and nutritionists to ensure no symptom is left unaddressed.

Dr. McHale co-founded WECS on the belief that there is no standard, "one size fits all" solution for this condition.
